Fender Play Free Trial: How to Cancel (and Refunds)
Quick answer
The Fender Play free trial lasts 7 days on the monthly plan and 14 days on the annual plan for new members; either one rolls into a paid plan unless you cancel. To stop it, follow the web steps below at least a day before the trial ends. If you signed up in an app, cancel through the store that billed you. Refunds: Fender Play's terms of use say refunds cannot be claimed for any partial subscription period, monthly or annual.
Buttons go to each official site, not an affiliate link; confirm trial terms there.
Cancel Fender Play on the web, step by step
- On a computer, click Sign in at the top right (or open My Account if you are already signed in).
- Go to the Billing area in the Subscriptions section of your profile.
- Click Cancel Auto-Renew.
- Click Yes, I want to cancel in the confirmation window. On a phone browser the path is fender.com menu > Sign In > 'Hi, your name' > Info > Billing > Cancel Auto-Renew.
Signed up in the app?
Joined in the iPhone or iPad app? Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Fender Play, then Cancel Trial or Cancel Subscription. Joined on Android? Open the Play Store and go to Account, Subscriptions, Fender Play, Manage, Cancel Subscription. Fender's help page notes that if Fender Play is missing from those lists, you probably signed up on the website.
What happens after you cancel
Your subscription stops at the end of the current billing cycle, and you keep access until then.
Fender Play refund terms
Fender Play's terms of use say refunds cannot be claimed for any partial subscription period, monthly or annual. The terms also say an annual plan renews at the non-discounted renewal price, so set a reminder before the renewal date if you joined on an offer.
Before your trial ends
There is no refund to fall back on, so the trial is your real decision window. On the monthly plan that is only 7 days. If you want 14 days to decide, the annual plan's trial is the longer one, but it converts to a full year's charge if you forget to cancel.
